Review: Prestige Cosmetics Liquid Eyeliner in Envy

Hello Shopahaulics, Tiffany here, and I will say that this eyeliner is pretty great. I love the consistency when it is applied and the pigmentation is great. Out of the eyeliners, this is the only one that I own, so I cannot vouch for the other colors. I wanted a green liquid eyeliner, because I like to have colored eyeliner. I bought this with a $3.00 off coupon from Rite Aid which was absolutely amazing so it ended up being about $1.00. The color of this eyeliner is a beautiful bright green that has shimmer in it. I like the way that it looks and brings dimension since when the light hits the liner, it has a sheen. I don’t like that it doesn’t show up on a darker look, but on a lighter eye look, it looks great. So, if you are a person who wears a lot of dark shadows, smokey eyes, etc. this product may not be the best. However, that is only this eyeliner rather than any other since I have not tried it. Other than that, it works amazingly well and doesn’t smudge or wear for the many hours that I have worn it.

Positive: Works great.

Negative: Doesn’t show up on a dark shadowed look.

Review: Sinful Colors in Last Chance

Hello Shopaholics, Tiffany here, and I am obsessed with green polishes. I have to say that the last month or two of 2011 was filled with some green. I personally really like dark greens and when I saw Last Chance, I pounced on the opportunity to get it for my collection. Last Chance is a really love dark green that, when placed on your nails, is dark but not so dark that you can’t see. If you would like a darker color than Sinful Colors San Francisco and doesn’t have a shimmer like San Francisco, I think that this is the polish for you. The finish is glossy and there are no shimmers or duo chrome to this, just a pure dark green. This green will look great relatively on any and all nail sizes, shapes, and skin tones.

Positive: Beautiful and works well.

Negative: Nothing.

Review: Jordana Glitter Rock Retractable Eyeliner Pencil in 06 Glam Rock Green

Hello Shopaholics, Tiffany here, and this is the most used eyeliner, for me, of the winter/Christmas months. I love colored eyeliner and it is kind of something that I wear with a colorful look normally but I add color to my neutral looks to make them pop. I love green and how it makes my eyes more intense ( I have brown eyes). This eyeliner, at first glance, when you open it is pointed but easily becomes rounded at the first use. The eyeliner is so soft and is easy to blend and put on. If you are worried and are going to reject this because it will stay rounded, I will tell you now that it still makes an amazing wing. The retractable tube is good, I like that you will get more product in the end and it doesn’t fall back into the tube if you press too hard. I hold the retractable part and it doesn’t budge like some. I recommend getting all of these, I believe that they run around $2-3. There are various shades and if you don’t want to go crazy with color you can go for the neutral ones, which they have about four of. Now, for the cons of this eyeliner is that there is glitter that is in the eyeliner. I love the glitter look and am glad when it is on and makes my eyes spark but I recommend not putting it too close to the lash line, both upper and lower. Keep away from the lash lines because you can feel it if you get the glitter in your eye.

Positive: Great eyeliner!

Negative: You could get glitter in your eye if it is too close.

Review: Maybelline Eyeshadow in Green St.

Hello Shopaholics, Tiffany here, and I want to say that the packaging for this is pretty good. This is my first Maybelline eyeshadow and I absolutely love that this packaging is compact and stays put when you need it to.

The color swatch may be hard to see but I love the high pigmentation. You can see the swatch mark in the eyeshadow! Anyway, this is a really easy color to blend. I found that this color, however, isn’t as pigmented alone than with a primer. Having a primer made me see this color in a whole new light.

I like this picture above because there is a slight blue undertone and not all green. This is a really pretty color and I absolutely recommend it! The fact $1.00 at Dollar Tree is a steal and I absolutely recommend getting makeup at Dollar Tree because many people overlook it.

Positive: Absolutely beautiful.

Negative: It can die down in pigmentation after a while on the face.

WTB: Dollar Tree.

What Do They Mean to You?

Okay, so everyone should know I am obsessed with nail polish, so much that it is sad. I love painting my nails and making them different with designs which you can see in links at the bottom of this post. Now, this is my post about what nail colors mean to me and how they make me feel.

Red:

Red to me makes me feel not only classy but sexy in a way because red can add much confidence to me. I really like how red looks on my nails alone. Actually, now that I think about it, this is the only nail color aside from black that could be blank and I could wear it for weeks on end. Red also makes me feel empowered and strong in a way that I am normally not so.

Orange:

Orange to me is a very fun and summer color. I really like that this orange is what I envision it to be, if you look on google, you will see that most orange nail polishes are lighter than the picture above. I think that orange makes me feel fun and outgoing even though I am not normally. I really like that it makes me feel a little better when I am having a crappy day so it is nice to have a happy booster when feeling down.

Yellow:

Seriously, I love yellow on my nails, at least that is what my nail polish bottles tell me. I have used a yellow nail polish, specifically Sinful Colors in Unicorn, and it is almost halfway done compared to others that I have had longer than that. Yellow makes me feel at ease with life and makes me feel like the sun is out when it is not. Just a happy-go-lucky color.

Green:

I don’t really think that green makes me feel envious at all if you think so, that’s cool :]. I personally think that green is so pretty on my skin tone. I have light skin but it has yellow undertones and the green just makes it even a little in my eyes. I think that green is a spring color and feels very fresh and new to the eye and day.

Blue:

Blue is a beautiful color I suppose, honestly, blue is my least favorite color of all colors. There are exceptions to this color and if you are wondering, I don’t really like these colors on the picture. Anyway, blue reminds me of the ocean which I really like since I don’t live right by the ocean. Blue is just a meh color for me.

Purple:

Purple makes me feel like going out to a party and dance til I drop dead. I really love how purple can be different since darker purples make me feel that but lighter purples make me feel innocent if that makes sense or clean. I just really think that purple is a great color that is versatile on everyone.

Brown:

Browns in any shade make  me feel warm and down to earth. I feel that brown is a much better neutral than a french manicure color which is a really light brown pink mix that most cannot see. Earth and trees are what come to mind with brown and that is what makes me feel like I am grounded at times when I feel like everything is going wrong.

Gray/Grey:

Grey to me is a sad and down color at times but I personally don’t own a true gray, more like silver gray’s which are pretty but I think that the actual color grey is very down and makes the sky gloomier should it be a cloudy day. I am changing up the word gray because I don’t know which people prefer to spell it so I just used both.

White:

White is a very clean cut color for me and can make any nails look more classier and clean than they already are with other colors. Personally, I don’t really care for white alone and it makes me feel like it is too white for itself and I always want to add something to it. White is just too clean for me ><.

Black:

Black is the color that started it all for me because I was going through a goth/emo phase and wanted black nail polish. Of course, being Asian, they don’t like black, but I had almost everything in black. I love the way black nail polish looks and it makes me feel reminiscent of those days when I was naive and now that I know more I wish I had gotten into nail polish earlier and not when I was going through a phase. Black is very clean and you can add any color and it still looks chic and clean cut.

Pink:

Pink is my favorite color in everything else but not in nail polish. I like it sometimes but it isn’t my go-to color when it comes to nail polish. I will choose another color over this one almost every time. I just am not a huge fan of pink in the way that I don’t really like it on my nails unless they are short. Occasionally I wear pink but not often.

Review: Sinful Colors in Minty Apple

Before you read this, please read my announcement below this post. Thank you. Hello Shopaholics, Tiffany here and I am in love with this nail polish! I actually have it on my nails right now as I am typing this. I have used this in two of my nail designs and it looks awesome! This has a little shimmer of pink and blue but they are really subtle. This is not really a mint color I think but that is the name of it. It looks bluer than green next to my other green colors but I guess it still counts. This nail polish can be applied with one thick coat and you should be fine. I like this color as a part of design rather than just a plain nail but whatever you prefer. This is definitely worth your money and it is a unique color if you are looking for one.

Positive: goes on really well.

Negative: Not a mint green if that is what you are looking for.

WTB: Walgreens

Review: Santee in Green

Hello Shopaholics, Tiffany here, and I bought this amazingly neon green because it was obnoxious. I love bright nail polishes as much as dark ones but the brighter ones can be a bit more fun. I personally thought that this was the best nail polish that anyone could buy because it is so fun and perfect for summer. I know it is not summer but if you get a chance, I would stop by and pick this up! I find that this color is true to what you see in the bottle and it has a pretty large applicator. I wish that the brush size was a bit smaller because it is larger than I would have liked. This polish is also a bit thick but it could be formulation, I have shaken it and it still feels a bit heavy. Other than that this is a really great nail polish and would be great for a statement when you have a little black dress or something of the like.

Positive: Great color to stand out.

Negative: A little thick to me and giant applicator.

WTB: Beauty stores…I bought mine at a local one.

Review: Sinful Colors in Call You Later

Hello Shopaholics, Tiffany here, HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Okay, so I bought thsi because I was on my green kick and really wanted many things green. I honestly really love this but it is literally glitter. I don’t mean that I didn’t think it would cover my fingers in green glitter I just thought it would be a green based nail polish greenbut the green comes from the glitter which is fine. I really do like how well it goes on and that it doesn’t chip very easily if applied well. I am not sure if I will repurchase it but it is a good color for those who want a full green glitter color and want it to be bright and happy which this really does make me happy and it brightens my outfits and days. I have only worn this as a gradient but it has done me well.

I suggest this to anyone who wants it for Mardi Gras, New Years, or just for fun. Good party favor color or nail party.

Positive: love the color

Negative: I am not a fan of glitter because it is hard to take off if done the wrong way.

WTB: Walgreens

Thanks!
