Sephora Cream Eyeliner in Electric Teal

Packaging: I love that this is small and compact. The only thing I would like is something to apply it with like the Cailyn eyeliners but I can understand how that can be bulky. The plastic is definitely sturdy enough to hold against a fall now and again.

Durability: All day every day! I love that this eyeliner can hold against the oiliest of eyes. I can apply a thicker line where my lid tends to crease and not have to worry. I would suggest, when applying, to leave your eye closed for about ten to fifteen seconds to allow the liner to settle in.

Pigmentation: Bright as can be, you can feel assured that this is not dull and will stand out!

Budget: I purchased mine for about $5 because it was on sale. Unfortunately, I cannot find it on their website so I believe that they have discontinued it. I would recommend the Maybelline studio gel liner as a dupe or the Cailyn gel eyeliners.

Ready for a Wedding!

Hello ShopaHAULics, Tiffany here and recently I attended a wedding and a two day process overtook my life because I wanted to look the best that I could for the event. So, why not review all of the products I used? Some I have tested longer while others are still new to me so in the coming weeks you may see a jump here and there. Please note that some of the items are more high end than others but I have purchased them if they were on sale or when I wanted to treat myself. I still love shopping on a budget but I do know when some items are clearly much better than others after trial and error. Also, some of these items have already been reviewed so you can go ahead and get some reading done! Now, let’s get ready for a wedding!

Review: Cailyn Gel Liner in Black

Hello ShopaHAULics, Tiffany here, and a fun fact about this product is that I won it in a YouTube giveaway. Holy cow! It was a while ago but I have to say that this is my favorite product that I got out of the whole package.

Packaging: I think that this is super convenient when it comes to travel because the brush is already there so you don’t have to pack another item in. I do think that it can be a bit of a space hogger though but if you place it right, you should be fine.

Durability: Absolutely amazing because it goes on so smoothly and lasts all day. I have rubbed this a couple of times before and it doesn’t budget. The brush that comes with this is also really good but I recommend wiping it down before storing it back in its spot.

Pigmentation: Black as night. I love the fact that you don’t have to go back over it once you place it down on your lids. However, you will need to work fast becasue once it is there you can’t get it off without makeup remover.

Budget: Okay, here is the thing…I can’t find it anywhere else but their website and other online stores. This beauty is $21.00 based off of the Cailyn website. Yikes…It was actually $16.00 at one point…unless it was another site. Anyway, this can put a dent into your wallet but if you want one item that will last you all day and night, I would definitely go with this one.

Review: Jordana Liquid Eyeliner in Go On Purple

Hello Shopaholics, Tiffany here, and this is an absolutely beautiful eyeliner! I have to say that the consistency is lovely. I will say though that this eyeliner does not show up very brightly on a dark makeup look as it would a lighter one. This eyeliner, even on a lighter makeup look, is not extremely bold so if you are testing out color and liquid eyeliner, this is a good product.

Positive: Stays on the eyes all day.

Negative: I wish it was more bold.

Review: Prestige Cosmetics Liquid Eyeliner in Envy

Hello Shopahaulics, Tiffany here, and I will say that this eyeliner is pretty great. I love the consistency when it is applied and the pigmentation is great. Out of the eyeliners, this is the only one that I own, so I cannot vouch for the other colors. I wanted a green liquid eyeliner, because I like to have colored eyeliner. I bought this with a $3.00 off coupon from Rite Aid which was absolutely amazing so it ended up being about $1.00. The color of this eyeliner is a beautiful bright green that has shimmer in it. I like the way that it looks and brings dimension since when the light hits the liner, it has a sheen. I don’t like that it doesn’t show up on a darker look, but on a lighter eye look, it looks great. So, if you are a person who wears a lot of dark shadows, smokey eyes, etc. this product may not be the best. However, that is only this eyeliner rather than any other since I have not tried it. Other than that, it works amazingly well and doesn’t smudge or wear for the many hours that I have worn it.

Positive: Works great.

Negative: Doesn’t show up on a dark shadowed look.

Review: CoverGirl Eyeliner in Smoke 605

Hello Shopaholics, Tiffany here, and if you are looking for the most subtle type of pop to your normal every day makeup, then this is your eyeliner. I thought that this eyeliner would be the light blue that the container it is. However, when you apply it, the color is one of the most lovely blues. It is lighter than a midnight blue and darker than a generic shade of blue. I honestly love using it when I want a pop of color. I also love the felt tip pen that it comes with because it is so easy to use and the hilt of the felt is amazing to use. Pigmentation is great and if you want to blend it out, you will need to do it relatively quickly, but it looks amazing. I cannot say how much I would actually pay full price for this product.

Positive: Works so great and is great for a pop of color.

Negative: Nothing.

ShopaHAULic 21!!

Hello! I hope everyone is doing well. I just wanted to let you guys see one of my newest hauls and all these items were purchased at Dollar Tree, Hot Topic, and Forever XXI. So let’s jump right in!

This is the Precious palette from Dollar Tree for $1.00 and if you haven’t gone to Dollar Tree before I high suggest to! I am already loving this palette so much! A great fall palette.

This is e.l.f. eye brightener in the palette named Luxe also for $1.00.

This is another e.l.f. eye brightener palette in the name Ivy $1.00.

e.l.f. liquid eyeliner in coffee which I was not planning on getting, I thought I got black but it ended up being coffee :] A happy mistake.

Hot Topic Baked Eyeshadow in Watermelon for only $0.97!!!

Hot Topic Baked Eyeshadow in Ecstasy for $0.97

Makeup Remover Wipes from Dollar Tree.

Forever 21 Earrings for $4.80-$6.80. I can’t remember.

Review: Cover Girl Smoothers in Midnight Rose

My first colored eyeliner and totally worth a dollar! I can’t remember where I bought it but it is really good and works great. I was excited because I love the color pink, but I am sure you can tell. I tried this on and stabbed myself in the eyes, not cool, I know. Anyway, you have to sharpen it because it is a pencil but you have to be sure you don’t sharpen it too much because it can hurt, the wooden part hurts if you accidentally glide it along the lid. The color is great pigmentation, it would look better with darker eye shadows I think and bring a pop of color. I would buy this again and I am pretty sure that there are modified versions of this eyeliner by Cover Girl. Midnight Rose touches on a mauve color which is really pretty but you can still tell that it is pink.

Positive: I love it!

Negative: I hate the wood.

WTB: drugstores?

Back-to-School: What Makeup Do I Need?

So, I am going to start a small and short back to school series which will be before the fall semester and spring semester probably. I think that spring semester never gets enough exposure and since I am not going in fall and heading into spring, I thought I would do both. So watch out for spring back-to-school editions. By the way, some pictures are not mine, only the ones that say tiffanytheshopaholic on them are, all others pictures are to their owners.

I do believe that getting a makeup bag is important so that way your makeup is not scattered among other things and you can find it easier. It doesn’t have to be a “makeup bag” and what I mean by that is that you can just use a bag that you got from a store or a purse that you don’t really use anymore. Mind you, this is for home and not to carry around so the picture above is something that you can carry to school with you.

A foundtion brush is pretty important but you can use a sponge which worked for me as well. I bought this for $1.00 and it has worked for me well. Sponges also give good coverage and I would suggest gettings those as well if you want to make sure that the foundation goes on evenly and leaves no strokes from the brush like on a canvas when you paint.

So if you have an oily face I would suggest the foundation above. I really like this and it is really good for those hot days at school where liquid foundation can make you look shiny or cakey. I bought this for $3.00 at Old Time where as it is normally $6-8 at drugstores.

I do believe that for starters who want to try out makeup should go ahead and get a small neutral palette. I bought this for $1.00 at Dollar Tree. This is very compact and you can totally buy it at Dollar General too. I really like the colors. This was the first 12 color palette I bought and the payoff is not bad. If you want to be more defined head to the right side where the darker colors are, if not, stay on the left side.

I suggest getting a good eyeliner, black is the most basic but if you don’t want to overpower your eyes then go with a brown. This pencil is by Pro-Professionals and it is in black. I recently learned that black is kind of harsh for out and about but colored eyeliners and brown eyeliners are really good. Black is more for those night-outs and parties, to me.

Eyelash curlers are important especially if you want to look more awake in the morning and to make sure that your mascara accentuates your eyes well. I bought this at Dollar General for $1.00 and it is a good price and works well. I wouldn’t recommend spending a lot on eyelash curlers unless you want to.

Unless you want a false eyelash look then I would go for CoverGirl Lash Exact Mascara. Maybelline Falsies are good too but I would use it when I feel like dressing up. Anyway, this is perfect for school because it doesn’t make you look too done up or clumpy, the brush makes sure of that as long as you do it right. I really like this mascara. You can buy this at Wal-Mart.

If you want to add lip color you can but from what I saw when I was in high school most people used tinted lip gloss which is fine. I just always stuck to a lip balm and it worked for me. I really like the smell of this, like a melon candy I have eaten. If you don’t like fruit you can go for lemony which is another eos product.

AND, only if you want to you can get a blush but I didn’t get a blush until I was finished with high school and didn’t know how to use it until a few months ago. I honestly think that a blush would be overdoing things, but whatever floats your boat. I think this is a good start for makeup and if you have any suggestions leave it in the comments below. Also, another thing that I can suggest only if you want, and this is mostly for oily faced people, a transluscent powder. A transluscent powder will help keep the oils in your face at bay.
