Review: Dior J’Adore

Hello ShopaHAULics, Tiffany here, and my long sought out for perfume was gifted to me by my mother and sister for my birthday in February. I cannot tell you how much I love to wear this perfume. I can honestly say that I get compliments on this perfume every time I put it on.

Packaging: It is sleek and simple. I love the curves that it creates.

Durability: It wears for a long time and I don’t feel like I smell after a long day going to classes or anything like that. I can also still smell remnants by the time I take a shower.

Budget: Expensive. To be exact it runs around $75.00-115.00 depending on the size. I received the 3.4 oz which was 110.00.

I cannot tell you how much I adore Christian Dior and all that he accomplished when he was alive. I also love that this perfume is a beautiful scent that I feel like is my “signature” scent. There is another perfume that is also under the j’adore name and has a different scent so be sure to know that it is the parfum since the scents are in the same bottle but smell totally different.

Review: AVON Urban Flowers in Paris

The first thing I think when I smell this scent is that it is chic and sophisticated. I think that this is more for older girls or women than the New York one which I find for younger. I think that this is not as strong as New York. I do not like this scent as much as New York. I find this to be second best to it in every aspect. However, this is not as floral as New York which is a plus side if you don’t want a strong floral scent in your collection. I think that this is more of a travel kind of perfume if you aren’t really going anywhere other than on a plane or getting into a car for a road trip, something like that.

Positive: Smells good.

Negative: I do wish it were more floral.

Review: AVON Urban Flowers in New York

I bought this after I saw it a long time ago when it was $12. I bought mine for $2.99-$3.99 I believe. I normally buy AVON scents not knowing what it honestly smells like. I love this smell however! My mom did as well and bought herself one too. It does smell like flowers but isn’t overpowering where you will scrunch your nose. I really, really like it. This is more of a daytime scent and stays on all day as well. I recommend this to everyone who comes across it. It comes as 1 fl oz. but is totally worth less than $5.

Positive: Smells so good and is not too girly.

Negative: Nothing.

WTB: AVON.

Review: AVON Bali Bliss

I have been eyeing this since Summer of 2010. I have wanted it badly and bought it once I saw it was $5.99. However, it is now $3.99! How great is that?! I bought it on impulse and have waited so long! The bottle is adorable because it has pink and purple. I really love the design around the words “bali bliss”. Anyway, this scent is slightly fruity but smells somewhat flowery as well. The smells is strong for the first few minutes but becomes subtle throughout the day which is really good and I know it is always on me.

Positive: Smells good.

Negative: a mix of fruit and flower which is odd but a slight negative.

WTB: AVON.

Review: AVON Wish of Luck

Super cute bottle like Wish of Love and I must say that it smells nice, however, it isn’t for me. The scent isn’t fruity or flowery so if you want that don’t get it. It smells nice in a touch-of-feminine way. The scent lasts a long time and doesn’t smell of alcoholic chemicals like Wish of Love after a while. Wish of Luck lasts and is good for day events or casual outgoings. I don’t think this smells like a night time smell but it can be if you want. I bought this from AVON for $4.99? Around that price which is good and is worth the money but I ended up giving it to my sister since I like more feminine smells that are more prominent in the flowery department.

Positive: smells good.

Negative: Not for me.

WTB: AVON, they bring it back sometimes in the outlet section.

ShopaHAULic 17!!

Wow 20 of these already? I must be on some kind of roll! YAY!

AVON Urban Flowers in London for $2.99 from AVON. I bought this because I have been wanting this one for the longest time. I would only see New York and Paris and I bought them, but I really wanted the whole set. I finally did!

AVON 50’s Glam which I bought again because I love honeysuckle.

Belk Maxi Dress for $8.99 from Belk which is not bad for a dress at all. It was between a light blue and dark blue and I don’t like blue at all as you know from Favor Me: Colors [link] but dark blue does look good on me which I can’t deny.

Belk pomegranate dress for $8.99 from Belk which I bought because I love pink and it has pockets! I know you probably can’t tell from the photo but they do.

Jordana Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in Cool Aqua for $0.50 from Walgreens, they are having a sale RIGHT NOW! At least where I am. They marked down a load of things!

Jordana Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in Parisian Purple for $0.50 from Walgreens, a really pretty purple :]

Jodana Glitter Rocks Retractable Eyeliner Pencil in 06 Glam Rock Green from Walgreens for $0.50 a super cute green and I love it!

Almay One Coat Nourishing Mascara in 421 Black for $1.99 from Walgreens which is great for a Mascara! Not to mention that Almay is a pretty good company.

Loreal Paris Telescopic Clean Definition Mascara in 920 Black for $2.39 from Walgreens. I hear about this mascara a lot from Blair Fowler on youtube. So when it is only $2.39 there is no doubt that I wouldn’t buy it.

Loreal Paris True Naturale Mascara in 800 Black for $2.99 from Walgreens which I honestly bought because it has a pretty packaging! I know, not smart but it was cheap and I have never seen it in my life. Loreal is kind of expensive even though it is a drugstore brand.

Enjoy!

Review: Bath and Body Works Dark Amethyst Body Spray

My birthday is in February which is why my sister got it for me as a present and I totally appreciate that. I do like the scent for a more evening event. I don’t wear it often because I feel it belongs to a more dressy kind of thing. The scent is strong and overwhelming at first to the nose but after a while it sits and stays. The scent does not leave the body; you can always smell it no matter what, a truly long-lasting scent. I would recommend if you wanted a strong smell on you to last the whole day.

Positive: smells good.

Negative: I won’t buy it for myself.

WTB: any bath and body works.

Review: AVON Wish of Love

Well, if you know me well, I LOVE the color pink :] I had never smelled this perfume before and wanted to try it out. I believe it ranged from $4.99-$5.99 when I got it. The description of it made it more flowery and it is. I was excited and it smells so good. However, when I put it on, after a few hours it starts to smell alcoholic to me. Maybe that is how my skin reacts to it but I don’t like how it smells when I put it on and later it smells like that. The smell is above average strong and can overwhelm someone if you put on too much. I only spray three times, wrist, neck, and back. I personally like this perfume and it is my go-to most of the time. I am not sure if AVON will be rereleasing it, but if they do, check the outlet section because they bring back some perfumes sometimes.

Positive: smells good.

Negative: strong to sensitive noses and smells alcoholic to me after a few hours.

Disclaimer: I do not own the photo.

Review: AVON Far Away

I wore this perfume throughout my middle school years, once I got my first one from my mom and it smells much too old for someone around the age of 10-12, but I didn’t know that. Anyway, this perfume is strong when you put it on “…modern oriental blends jasmine, freesia, orange flower, and peach.” “SCENT SENSE: this is an oriental scent. Infused with spices and vanilla to project sexiness and depth.” From AVON. The smell is orient, but I smell a light vanilla in there which I didn’t know until now lol. I have it beside me, literally. I don’t know what the flowers in person smell like but there is a bit of a flowery scent. The scent does last all day and you will be able to notice it subtly and apply when needed. I don’t smell the peace at all, if it is there, it is too light for me to smell.

I recommend this to anyone who likes a strong smell and is not worried about it staying pretty strong all day.

Positive: Smells good.

Negative: Nothing really other than it smells a bit too strong for me unless I am going somewhere fancy.

Review: Bath and Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom Perfume

Okay, so I love this smell. I have been obsessed with Japanese cultured items and always have been even though I am not Japanese. Anyway, my sister bought it for me about a year ago. I love this smell. My sister had gotten lotion and a spray of it for her birthday one year and since that time I had loved it. The smell is strong at first and fades to be more soft but still present. I like how you can be known by smell and then it fades to where you are not overpowering still but still smell really good. I actually don’t know how much it is…I think it is $28.00? Maybe not. Hold on. $26.50 for 2.5 fl. oz. I just went on their website and did see that they are having a sale! Go check it out I guess. [http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/category/index.jsp?categoryId=4440252&cp=2484525].

I have worn the scent everyday that I have gone out of the house (unless I was rushing). Anyway, the scent is something I am getting tired of, I mean, I love the smell still but since I have worn it consistently it is has become tiring I suppose… I have bought new perfumes/sprays from AVON and got Curious from Britney Spears, so we will see :]

Btw, they have a new packaging so don’t worry that it doesn’t look like the picture above.
