Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo

Hello ShopaHAULics, Tiffany here and this product really makes my hair clean without irritating my mild dandruff. I had immense dandruff and it has died down but it can get unruly if I don’t use the right shampoo and keep conditioner away. However, I have found that this shampoo really keeps my hair clean and doesn’t irritate my scalp.

Packaging: I believe that the larger bottle is best but the one pictured above is the one you will more than likely see. The bottle above is compact but I have a lot of stuff in my shower so I would prefer that it would be skinnier and taller rather than short and oval-round.

Durability: I was my hair every day but when I don’t I can usually keep my hair oil free without doing anything for about two days.

Pigmentation: The color is a semi-transluscent yellow color that is on the runny gel side and lathers up easily in the hair.

Budget: From when I have purchased it at Ulta it is $5.99 and the larger bottle runs about $7.99.

I plan to purchase the larger bottles when they have it because it is much more convenient for me and I also buy this product at Ulta because I get points and Ulta usually runs a sale Buy 1, Get 1 50% off.

Hope this helps!

Review: Wet n Wild Fast Dry in The Wonder Yellows

Hello Shopaholics, Tiffany here, and this is one of the most beautiful yellows I can think of in my collection. I love that this dries fast! Of course, if you have seen some, they dry too fast, but this formulation gives you enough time to apply the whole nail without drying before you can fix mistakes. This is affordable at $1.99 but you can get it on sale sometimes. I would say that this is a taxi cab yellow, I had been looking for a highlighter yellow, but this one works out great. I have yellow undertones in my skin and it balances out my skin tone which is great! I feel like my skin has more life color in them when I have this polish on. the consistency is really great and the polish applies evenly. I have not tried out their other colors but if you don’t like yellow, definitely give the others a shot, not to mention that they have adorable names.

Positive: Great polish and doesn’t dry so fast that you can’t fix mistakes.

Negative: Nothing.

What Do They Mean to You?

Okay, so everyone should know I am obsessed with nail polish, so much that it is sad. I love painting my nails and making them different with designs which you can see in links at the bottom of this post. Now, this is my post about what nail colors mean to me and how they make me feel.

Red:

Red to me makes me feel not only classy but sexy in a way because red can add much confidence to me. I really like how red looks on my nails alone. Actually, now that I think about it, this is the only nail color aside from black that could be blank and I could wear it for weeks on end. Red also makes me feel empowered and strong in a way that I am normally not so.

Orange:

Orange to me is a very fun and summer color. I really like that this orange is what I envision it to be, if you look on google, you will see that most orange nail polishes are lighter than the picture above. I think that orange makes me feel fun and outgoing even though I am not normally. I really like that it makes me feel a little better when I am having a crappy day so it is nice to have a happy booster when feeling down.

Yellow:

Seriously, I love yellow on my nails, at least that is what my nail polish bottles tell me. I have used a yellow nail polish, specifically Sinful Colors in Unicorn, and it is almost halfway done compared to others that I have had longer than that. Yellow makes me feel at ease with life and makes me feel like the sun is out when it is not. Just a happy-go-lucky color.

Green:

I don’t really think that green makes me feel envious at all if you think so, that’s cool :]. I personally think that green is so pretty on my skin tone. I have light skin but it has yellow undertones and the green just makes it even a little in my eyes. I think that green is a spring color and feels very fresh and new to the eye and day.

Blue:

Blue is a beautiful color I suppose, honestly, blue is my least favorite color of all colors. There are exceptions to this color and if you are wondering, I don’t really like these colors on the picture. Anyway, blue reminds me of the ocean which I really like since I don’t live right by the ocean. Blue is just a meh color for me.

Purple:

Purple makes me feel like going out to a party and dance til I drop dead. I really love how purple can be different since darker purples make me feel that but lighter purples make me feel innocent if that makes sense or clean. I just really think that purple is a great color that is versatile on everyone.

Brown:

Browns in any shade make  me feel warm and down to earth. I feel that brown is a much better neutral than a french manicure color which is a really light brown pink mix that most cannot see. Earth and trees are what come to mind with brown and that is what makes me feel like I am grounded at times when I feel like everything is going wrong.

Gray/Grey:

Grey to me is a sad and down color at times but I personally don’t own a true gray, more like silver gray’s which are pretty but I think that the actual color grey is very down and makes the sky gloomier should it be a cloudy day. I am changing up the word gray because I don’t know which people prefer to spell it so I just used both.

White:

White is a very clean cut color for me and can make any nails look more classier and clean than they already are with other colors. Personally, I don’t really care for white alone and it makes me feel like it is too white for itself and I always want to add something to it. White is just too clean for me ><.

Black:

Black is the color that started it all for me because I was going through a goth/emo phase and wanted black nail polish. Of course, being Asian, they don’t like black, but I had almost everything in black. I love the way black nail polish looks and it makes me feel reminiscent of those days when I was naive and now that I know more I wish I had gotten into nail polish earlier and not when I was going through a phase. Black is very clean and you can add any color and it still looks chic and clean cut.

Pink:

Pink is my favorite color in everything else but not in nail polish. I like it sometimes but it isn’t my go-to color when it comes to nail polish. I will choose another color over this one almost every time. I just am not a huge fan of pink in the way that I don’t really like it on my nails unless they are short. Occasionally I wear pink but not often.

Disclaimer: I do not own any pictures.

Review: Sinful Colors in Unicorn

Hello Shopaholics, Tiffany here, and this yellow is not my favorite color, I will let you know that now however, I have grown to have a neutral ground with it. I bought this and it was in time for my sister’s graduation. This color is more pastel so if you want a bright color that is in your face, I would suggest looking elsewhere, but I will definitely get a bright yellow that is affordable I am sure. This yellow is actually pretty thick for one coat and you can leave it like that if you want. I prefer to do two coats however. I think that this is a very pretty color for spring and summer, it can be used in fall but I think that in winter it will look a little odd, but I will wear it haha. The color will look like it is streaked but as long as you are patient and make it all even you should be fine.

Positive: Great color.

Negative: Nothing.

P.S. This is the first Sinful Colors nail polish that I have used a lot of, surprisingly, since yellow is not my absolute favorite color.

Review: Wet n Wild in Wildcard

Hello Shopahaulics, Tiffany here, and I must say that this is one of those nail polishes that you would pass up on but seriously is one of the prettiest colors you can find! I am not a huge purple lover, but I do have a few, and this is by far my favorite. This nail polish was at the top of my list with Pearlscent (which I have not tried) and when thought of a good enough nail art for it, I thought this was a beautiful color. I honestly would recommend it for those of you who are looking for a lighter color for fall. This nail polish has pink undertones as you can see from the image above and there is a hint of yellow but at first glance you can’t tell. N.Y.C. Wing It Wine Creme is a purple like Wildcard but with more yellow undertones and very little pink in it. I would recommend that if you wanted more yellow on your nails. Anyway, this is a perfect color if you want an elegant nail and if you just want to try something new I would suggest this because I don’t know anywhere that has another color exactly like this. Coats are probably two to three because it can be sheer depending on how thick of a coat you put on.

Positive: Absolutely gorgeous and goes on smoothly.

Negative: Chipped faster than I would have liked but I had silver on top in my nail design (not the nails in the picture. You can go here: http://kittyfairydust.deviantart.com to see it. Bad Moon Rising is the name of the design).

WTB: Walgreens, CVS, Rite-Aid, etc.

Nail File #13: Why Are You So Corny?

Good thing I have Halloween nails up, right? Get that Halloween spirit in you!

NAIL POLISHES USED:

N.Y.C. Black Crème

L.A. Colors Art Deco in white

L.A. Colors Art Deco in orange

L.A. Colors Art Deco in yellow

STEPS:

1. Apply base coat.

2. Apply two coats of N.Y.C. in black crème.

(You don’t have to do thin lines if you don’t have Art Deco. You can make thick lines with just the brush that comes with the colors that you have)

3. Make a line in the top left corner with white.

4. Make a line below that with orange.

5. Make another line below the orange with yellow.

6. Apply top coat.

THUMB:

This is totally optional.

Use a dotting tool and make a rough shape of the candy corn with the white, orange, and yellow as best as you can. You might need to arrange it differently if the thumbs are uneven with each other.

Eyes On Me: Colorful Rainbow

This came from juicystar07 on youtube who I love because she is so quirky and happy. I really love how she made a rainbow of sorts with this tutorial.

I know you can’t see the yellow but it is there. I used L.A. Colors Wildflowers palette (BES433). The yellow, orange, and hot pink colors are what I used. I bought this for $1.00 at Dollar Tree. The hot pink comes out a little red so it will be find and it is a good alternative since I don’t have red.

On the top of the lid I used AVON ultra luxury eyeliner in Eggplant. I bought this $1-2 from AVON and is a very good eyeliner and goes on the lid amazingly well.

For the waterline I used AVON dual-ended eyeliner in blue-turquoise. I bought this for $1.99 and it is amazing! I want more of these but I don’t think that they are coming back into the outlet any time soon. But, the turquoise is the brightest I have ever seen of eyeliner.

I think this is my summer look and it is really easy to do. I can’t remember what mascara I used but any is fine.

Here is the video to her tutorial:

Review: Sinful Colors in This Is It

When I saw the title I thought, “Michael Jackson”. I bought this because I wanted a yellow but the name definitely got me to buy it. This color is sheer so two-three coats is necessary. The color goes on really easily and is not thick. There are speckles of shimmer that makes the polish duller but not an ugly dull. I don’t think this color might be for everyone’s skin tone, it makes my skin look a little more yellow since I have a yellow undertone. I don’t think I will wear this color often but I might use it over another color or as a base for another.

Positive: Good color.

Negative: Sheer.

WTB: Walgreens.

Nail File #5: Compliment Each Other

I really wanted to do an opposite nail and decided on purple and yellow. I really didn’t think that red and green in summer would have been right and I didn’t have an orange for orange and blue.

NAIL POLISHES USED:

N.Y.C. Purple Pizzazz Frost

Art Deco in White

Art Deco in Yellow

STEPS:

1. Apply a bast coat

2. Apply two even coats of N.Y.C. Purple Pizzazz Frost

3. Make a vertical white line, using Art Deco in White, closer to the right side of the nail bed.

4. Make a horizontal line, with Art Deco in White as well, above the halfway of your nail.

5. Place two yellow dots using Art Deco in Yellow where the white meets up. Male sure that they are a good sized dot.

6. Make gradually smaller dots with Art Deco in Yellow until you reach the end of your nail bed.

7. Apply top coat.

DONE!
