Review: Jordana Liquid Eyeliner in Go On Purple

Hello Shopaholics, Tiffany here, and this is an absolutely beautiful eyeliner! I have to say that the consistency is lovely. I will say though that this eyeliner does not show up very brightly on a dark makeup look as it would a lighter one. This eyeliner, even on a lighter makeup look, is not extremely bold so if you are testing out color and liquid eyeliner, this is a good product.

Positive: Stays on the eyes all day.

Negative: I wish it was more bold.

Review: Jordana Glitter Rock Retractable Eyeliner Pencil in 06 Glam Rock Green

Hello Shopaholics, Tiffany here, and this is the most used eyeliner, for me, of the winter/Christmas months. I love colored eyeliner and it is kind of something that I wear with a colorful look normally but I add color to my neutral looks to make them pop. I love green and how it makes my eyes more intense ( I have brown eyes). This eyeliner, at first glance, when you open it is pointed but easily becomes rounded at the first use. The eyeliner is so soft and is easy to blend and put on. If you are worried and are going to reject this because it will stay rounded, I will tell you now that it still makes an amazing wing. The retractable tube is good, I like that you will get more product in the end and it doesn’t fall back into the tube if you press too hard. I hold the retractable part and it doesn’t budge like some. I recommend getting all of these, I believe that they run around $2-3. There are various shades and if you don’t want to go crazy with color you can go for the neutral ones, which they have about four of. Now, for the cons of this eyeliner is that there is glitter that is in the eyeliner. I love the glitter look and am glad when it is on and makes my eyes spark but I recommend not putting it too close to the lash line, both upper and lower. Keep away from the lash lines because you can feel it if you get the glitter in your eye.

Positive: Great eyeliner!

Negative: You could get glitter in your eye if it is too close.

Review: Lipshine Natural Glaze in Pink Grapefruit

Hello Shopaholics, Tiffany here, and this is one lip gloss that I swear by for the rest of my life, I think. I love this lipgloss and how it applies to the lips. The applicator is a brush and I thought it wouldn’t be that great since I have had bad experiences before with it being too sticky with a different company. Anyway, this is a really great applicator and the bottom of the tube (on the left side in the picture) you just turn it so that the gloss comes out and it is really pink when you see it. You apply it and it is a really nice sheen of a pink color if you don’t want to cover your natural lip color. My lips are definitely berry and are pigmented more than others so just having a nice sheen of pink to make my lips look like they have lipstick and lipgloss all together is really great for me. This is not sticky and it just glides on easily and stays on your lips, making them look amazing. I recommend the other flavors if you don’t like grapefruit. If you don’t like smells in your lipgloss I wouldn’t recommend this line of product but if you do the lipgloss’s really do smell like they say. I chose grapefruit because I don’t really like the other flavors but here is a link to the lipshines: http://www.jordanacosmetics.com/p-91-incolor-lipshine-glaze-brush-on-gloss.aspx

Positive: Great to pull together a look and is not sticky.

Negative: Nothing.

Drugstore Hierarchy (by yours truly)

Hello Shopahaulics, Tiffany here, and I thought it would be a good idea to help beginner makeup collectors/users to find out what range of makeup is best for them money wise. I am going to go by the cheapest to most expensive to me and what I have seen:

Cheapest:

Jordana is a company that you can find at Walgreens or K-Mart.

Wet n Wild is a company you can get at Walgreens, Rite-Aid, CVS, etc.

N.Y.C. is a company you can get at Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Rite-Aid, CVS, etc.

Out of all three I would say that N.Y.C. is probably the product line you can find the most of. The other two are a little more sparse and you might not be able to find everything that they offer, it varies.

Medium:

I am a huge CoverGirl person and I probably have the most makeup from them. You can buy these pretty much anywhere that has a makeup section (minus high end places like Sephora). Note: I notice that their mascara is pretty expensive by them as well as their ageless products.

Almay has come back from the boonies! You can get this company from Walgreens, Rite-Aid, Wal-Mart, CVS, etc.

Maybelline can be bought from Walgreens, Rite-Aid, CVS, Wal-Mart.

Rimmel can be found at Walgreens, CVS, Rite-Aid, Wal-Mart. I personally don’t own anything from them but my sister says their makeup remover is good.

High:

Loreal can be bought at Walgreens, Rite-Aid, Wal-Mart, CVS.

Revlon can be bought at Walgreens, Rite-Aid, CVS, Walmart.

Neutrogena can be bought at Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Rite-Aid, CVS.

I think that is all the major drugstore brands, if I missed any you can probably just guesstimate what you think is best for you and your budget by the Low, Medium, High categories I have for you guys.

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the pictures. Also, I am just trying to help out those who are just starting out and want to figure out what range money-wise they should spend.

ShopaHAULic 17!!

Wow 20 of these already? I must be on some kind of roll! YAY!

AVON Urban Flowers in London for $2.99 from AVON. I bought this because I have been wanting this one for the longest time. I would only see New York and Paris and I bought them, but I really wanted the whole set. I finally did!

AVON 50’s Glam which I bought again because I love honeysuckle.

Belk Maxi Dress for $8.99 from Belk which is not bad for a dress at all. It was between a light blue and dark blue and I don’t like blue at all as you know from Favor Me: Colors [link] but dark blue does look good on me which I can’t deny.

Belk pomegranate dress for $8.99 from Belk which I bought because I love pink and it has pockets! I know you probably can’t tell from the photo but they do.

Jordana Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in Cool Aqua for $0.50 from Walgreens, they are having a sale RIGHT NOW! At least where I am. They marked down a load of things!

Jordana Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in Parisian Purple for $0.50 from Walgreens, a really pretty purple :]

Jodana Glitter Rocks Retractable Eyeliner Pencil in 06 Glam Rock Green from Walgreens for $0.50 a super cute green and I love it!

Almay One Coat Nourishing Mascara in 421 Black for $1.99 from Walgreens which is great for a Mascara! Not to mention that Almay is a pretty good company.

Loreal Paris Telescopic Clean Definition Mascara in 920 Black for $2.39 from Walgreens. I hear about this mascara a lot from Blair Fowler on youtube. So when it is only $2.39 there is no doubt that I wouldn’t buy it.

Loreal Paris True Naturale Mascara in 800 Black for $2.99 from Walgreens which I honestly bought because it has a pretty packaging! I know, not smart but it was cheap and I have never seen it in my life. Loreal is kind of expensive even though it is a drugstore brand.

Enjoy!

ShopaHAULic 16!!

Okay, so today’s haul is about three different trips of different days but I decided to place everything together to make it simpler. :] I bought from AVON, Old Time, K-Mart, Hot Topic, Ollie’s, Forever 21, and Wet Seal.

50’s Glam from AVON for $2.99 which is so cute that I ordered three more, one more for me and one for my mom and sister. I love the smell because honeysuckle is my favorite scent of the summer so I had to get it!

Almay Pure Blend, in 200 translucent shimmer, from Old Time for $2.99. I have an oily complexion and highly recommend that anyone with oily skin get a translucent powder if they use a liquid foundation!

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse in Light 3 for $3.99 from Old Time, um, how great is that?! GREAT! I have wanted to try this because it is matte and I have an oily face.

AMBI Fade Cream for $5.49, from K-Mart, which I saw in an article about dark spots from acne and other scarring in an article from Yahoo!  [http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/beauty/3-acne-scar-reducing-products-that-really-work-2509588/%5D This is the cheapest of the three I saw and bought it with a risk that it wouldn’t work because I hadn’t looked up anything about it beforehand other than having read the article. I bought the one for oily skin because I have it!

Jordana Lipshine in 01 Pink Grapefruit (sorry for the bad picture!) for $1.89 from K-Mart. I bought this because it was cheap and actually a great price but I haven’t used it enough to know if it was a good investment.

Jordana Liquid Eyeliner in 01 Go On Purple for $1.89 from K-Mart which is really good for a liquid eyeliner. I liked that they had purple, they also had silver and black from what I saw, they were pretty much sold out in liquid eyeliner.

Jordana Lip Out Loud LOL Super Shiny Gloss in 109 BTW for $1.89 from K-Mart. I liked the shade of this one because I am not very bold when it comes to lip colors.

Jordana Squeeze n’ Shine in 03 Be Coralful for $1.89 from K-Mart, HOW CUTE! (the name and packaging!) I was going to buy the one that had strawberry in the name but once I saw Be Coralful I had to get it. You know…my obsession with coral at this moment. [look out for “Favor Me: Colors” this week!].

Love & Beauty Blush and Highlight in 02 Peach for $2.80 from Forever XXI. I have a bronzy blush from my Madame Milly pack that I got and wanted a lighter one.

Love & Beauty Shimmer Powder in Pink for $1.80? from Forever XXI which I bought because I have always wanted a shimmery eyeshadow? Something like that haha. There were about two other colors.

Taylor Swift shirt for $19.98 from Hot Topic (Buy One Get One ½ off). I have been waiting since last year for this shirt and it was on sale. The size is much larger than I wanted but I bought it anyway because my mom can alter it for me. Here is the music video:

Christina Perri shirt for $12.98 from Hot Topic (Buy One Get One ½ off). When I saw this shirt I was about to have a heart attack because I LOVE Christina Perri. Here is the music video:

Hot Topic Hello Kitty Keychain for $3.98 from Hot Topic (Buy One Get One ½ off) My sister bought a Beatles Shirt and this for me since I didn’t have another item to do another BOGO with. (What a sweetheart!)

Tube top for $17.99 from Wet Seal (Buy One Get One for a Penny). It is really cute and made of really nice material. I shared the deal with my sister.

The Wizard’s Pen for $4.99 from Ollie’s. I am a seek and find kind of girl and am up for the challenge. I am not a big fan of The Wizard’s Pen but love the second game it came with Mystery P.I. The Lottery Ticket. I really bought it for that but I will continue to play The Wizard’s Pen.

Enjoy!

ShopaHAULic 20!! coming tomorrow :]
