Soap and Glory Body Butter

Hello ShopaHAULics, Tiffany here and this is one of few lotions that my skin doesn’t become irritated to. The Soap and Glory Body Butter line is amazing and has amazing scents that I have tried and all three that I did try were great and didn’t irritate. So, let’s get into this!

Packaging: I love it. I think that this is a cute addition to any nightstand, bathroom counter, bag, etc.

Durability: Once you rub this into your skin, it isn’t greasy or too much, the scent is strong at first but it fades away after you begin your daily work. A little goes a long way! I actually think that this is one of the lotions that works for me and provides an immense amount of moisture.

Pigmentation: White, but you don’t have to worry about it making your skin look like a flourescent bulb, it is clear after and leaves a nice subtle sheen to your body.

Budget: I buy mine at Sephora and the 1.7 oz (the one I purchase) is $6.00. If you are an avid lotion user, it may be best to purchase the 10.1 oz for $22.00, the only down fall of it is that it isn’t easy to travel with.

How to De-Stress Before and After a Big Event

Hello ShopaHAULics, Tiffany here and I got my driver’s license! Yay! The process of what that did to my mind and body was another thing. I tend to get an immense sense of anxiety when it comes to something big like a presentation or anything that tends to be stressful. So, to de-stress I wanted to share my “process”.

1. Take a shower/bath. Use all of your favorite products that you splurge on. I have been using my Ulta Freshwater Mist Sugar Scrub which is great for everyday but it is $12 so I try not to use it too much to save my money. For my hair I like to add the Organix Moroccan Argain Oil Intense Moisturizing Treatment which is great to add extra moisture to the ends of your hair and add shine.

2. Apply lotion. I don’t know about you but I love it when my body feels relaxed and not stressed and the “art” of applying lotion all over my body not only makes my skin smell good, it keeps your body moisturized. I like to apply lotion when my body is still wet from the shower and use that moisture to help save my lotion.

3. Apply a face mask. I didn’t apply one but I do know that when I do it is absolutely relaxing and I don’t have to worry about being asked to do something. I wear glasses so when I have them off, no one in my family usually asks me to do something since I am blind as a bat.

4. Listen to music. I did this all the way to the DMV and it helped and didn’t. You can’t really help when you are stressed about something and your mind won’t stop but you can distract it from overreacting.

Hope this helps!

Tips and Tricks for Applying Lotion

Hello ShopaHAULics, Tiffany here and I thought I would post this before next weeks post which deals with lotion. Here are the tips and tricks for applying lotion that I have quoted/learned:

1. Place lotion on the back of your hand. Whether you have a pump of tub, always take the lotion on the back of the hand and rub them together first, then use any residual lotion for the palms of your hands. This method helps you keep your hands away from greasy hands or if you just want to be quick with applying lotion.

2. When purchasing in a store, test before purchase. This is a pretty common thing that everyone knows. However, if you have extremely sensitive skin to scents and fragrances, definitely out on more lotion than you normally would from the testers and leave the lotion on for a long time. If you sense any irritation or need to itch it could be likely that you may be allergic to something in there.

3. apply with wet hands. Of course I don’t mean dripping wet but when you come out of the shower your hands still have moisture and, to me, that is the best time to apply since your skin is more “loose” since the pores are open.

4. Always carry lotion with you I struggle with this big time. I suck at always having lotion on me but I am going to try and start getting better at it by using a travel bottle or old lotion container or moisturizer container to keep in my bag. Now, this does take up room but if you are someone who is always going from one work place to another or traveling, a large bag comes in handy all the time.

I hope that this helps! Leave a comment down below of your lotion tips and tricks or if you have any questions!

Review: Suave Advanced Body Lotion

Hello Shopaholics, Tiffany here, and this is absolutely one of the best lotions (for me). I have really sensitive skin to fragrances in lotions. I have tried for a few years to get a lotion that was good and a lot of the lotions I have tried were breaking my skin out. I actually tried the Bath and Body Works in Amber Myrrh and it is absolutely an amazing smelling lotion that doesn’t break me out. Once I used that up however I found that you could only buy it online since it is probably discontinued or rare to find. I also tried Vaseline Moisture Rescue which was really great but couldn’t find that anywhere in the stores I went to. Sorry for the back story! So, since then, I found this lotion. I heard that Suave was really good and decided to try their unscented lotion.

The lotion is really smooth to apply on and it dries in a few minutes if you apply a lot but if you only apply a little, it is not sticky but your legs feel really cool against the wind if you go out right after you put it on. If you are worried about the smell it smells nice, it isn’t a definite floral or fresh or anything really but it smells neutral for all.

I don’t really have anything bad to say.

Positive: Absolutely great!

Negative: Nothing.

ShopaHAULic 18!!

Hello! I went on three shopping adventures and quickly edited these pictures so that you can all see what I got! I went to Bel Chere in Asheville which is an arts and music festival which is amazing. I also went out during my tax free weekend and bought a few things my sister and a mutual friend of ours aka her best friend and my close one :] I hope that you do enjoy this!

Stores: Aerie, Earthbound Trading Company, Forever 21, Wal-Mart, Nordstrom Rack, Dollar Tree, Books-A-Million

$1.00 at Wal-Mart for a carry around astringent because when I eat chocolate I need immediate astringent care, otherwise the breakout is more heavy.

$1.67 from Wal-Mart and it is 10 fl oz! How great is that? I will let you all know that I have sensitive skin and I bought this on a whim. I use lotion for my legs and always break out with Bath and Body Works but with Suave it is really great and you can tell it is working after you first use it.

$1.37 at Wal-Mart and totally worth it. I will do a full review but I bought this after I had used pearl masks and other masks from overseas which are so expensive! I had mine as a present but didn’t feel it was worth shelling out more money on only 10 masks for 15 dollars! Too much! So, these are cheaper and I plan on trying them all at one point.

$2.97 from Wal-Mart which is not usually what I am willing to pay for a lip balm but it has been talked about so much I had to talk about it. I plan on trying Summer Fruit as well.

$3.49 at Aerie which is awesome! I love it and it may look baggy but I swear that it is well-fitted, it is some kind of boyfriend jacket.

$0.97 from Earthbound Trading Company which is awesome and totally worth a dollar! Reminded me of Kandee Johnson’s ring from youtube.

$3.97 from Books-A-Million, I am trying to get all the books when I see them on sale.

$4.97 from Nordstrom Rack and totally worth it becaue I have been looking for a bandeau for the longest time!

$4.97 at Nordstrom Rack bandeau in black.

bowtie necklace which is cute and reminded me of Ingrid’s, MissGlamorazzi on youtube, ring.

bowtie ring which I found to match the necklace.

purple earrings for my sister.

A mint necklace with a heart that has a pearl in the middle and diamonds around as well as a round diamond. I bought this to match my mint ring from wet seal.

I really like this and it reminds me of Harry Potter, not a huge fan but I like Harry Potter.

This reminded me of Rose from Vampire Academy.

$1.00 from Dollar Tree and I love it! Called Green St. and it is amazing! Reminds me of Oscar from Seasame Street.

P.S. some of the pictures are not showing up on my post but hopefully they are showing on yours!!

Review: Bath and Body Works Body Cream in Japanese Cherry Blossom

I love Japanese cherry blossom. My sister got the lotion for herself but left it at home so i decided to start using it. I really like the smell, it a bit overpowering. I put lotion all over my calf and ankles and my mom could smell it from the kitchen which is saying something since I was in the living room. Anyway, it smells good and makes my legs smooth, but I had shaved them about a day or two ago…maybe it was the same day, anyway, later that day or the next day, it made me itchy. I have a bit of an allergy to direct contact with scented things I suppose. I do not know. My leg didn’t break out or anything but it did make me itch and pores opened up. There isn’t any significant change to my legs at all. My skin just can’t do lotion or perfume contact on the neck and legs.

If you are unsure of whether you are allergic (skin wise) to any scented items try a small amount on your legs or arm and see how you react. I tried it on my arms one time and it made me itchy, I didn’t break out, just turned a little red in the arms.

Positive: Smells good.

Negative: Strong on the nose if you use a lot of the product at one time and if you are allergic makes your skin red and make you itch.

Disclaimer: I do not own the photo.

Review: AVON naturals Cherry Blossom

Wonderful smell and not overpowering. I got all five of the products above in a deal that was offered only twice (Campaign 14 & 15), in Campaign 14, they offered a cosmetic bag which is a good size. Anyway, the spray is lovely and smells great. The body wash is perfect to hand on a bar in the shower or in the bathroom. The lotion is nice and smells great as well. All the products are great and were only $10 which was amazing. The products alone are not expensive and a great buy :] I used one body wash bottle in two weeks, I think.

Positive: I love the smell and the fact that it isn’t overpowering.

Negative: Nothing

Disclaimer: I do not own the picture.
