Bosley Professional Strength Voluminizing & Thickening Nourishing Leave-In

Hello ShopaHAULics, Tiffany here and this will be my last post on this blog BECAUSE I am moving all of my blogs to a new blog that will combine all of my other four together! I hope that you will head over there and subscribe: The Mermaid Network

Please note that this product has been discontinued but you can find it online for as low as $7.99.

Packaging: Sleek and smooth with a nozzle that sprays easily. There is also a preventative spray holder so when you travel you can put it on and know that it won’t spritz your belongings.

Durability: Definitely lasts a long while! I like to spray this before I go to bed and when I wake up in the morning for extra volume. I spray this mainly around the crown of my head because that is where my hair is most sparse. This really does add volume to your hair, depending on how much you spray you get a different result every time.

Pigmentation: Clear.

Budget: Not sure since I bought it on clearance but I think it ran around $18.00.

Weekend Essentials

Hello ShopaHAULics, Tiffany here and I thought it would be great to share with you am essentials kit that you can use when you go home for a weekend or a weekend away from family with friends. My essentials kit is made up of items aside from the basics like a toothbrush, toothpaste, clothing, etc.

A large cosmetic bag is definitely a good thing to have with you to hold your immediate essentials. I don’t think that even a beauty addict should have exceed this for a weekend but to each their own because I don’t decide what you need or don’t, Do what suits you best!

I got the cosmetic bag for free after purchasing two lotions and a spray from AVON years ago.

For skin essentials I have my Sephora Collection Instant Moisturizer abnd St. Ives Even & Bright scrub. I like to apply the scrub right after the shower and scrub once I get out.

For hair I haven’t even used the Bosley Healthy Hair product because I have only been trying it every now and then, I plan to actually consistently use it. I have definitely been using the Organix Renewing Argan Oil and I love it so much! I can definitely tell that when I don’t use it that my ends tend to go back to being dry.

Of course, I have to use deodorant, it is so hot! So, I like to use a gel because it doesn’t clump like a stick. The Secret Outlast Unscented Deodorant works best for me. The next item could be considered weird but it is seriously the best thing for those of you who have thighs that tend to rub together and then become irritated from the friction. I will be reviewing it for next week so keep an eye out for it! The Monistat Chafing Relief Powder-Gel is amazing!

Last but not least I have my Hello Kitty paddle brush that is large so it may not be the best to travel with, I may change it for a smaller brush. The other item is a hair tie because it is always good to have one when you need it. I had another but it was in my sister’s room since I had used it the other night.

There you have it folks, my essentials!

Not pictured was my AVON Bali Bliss perfume! Oops…

Organix Renewing Argan Oil

Hello ShopaHAULics, Tiffany here and this product is absolutely perfect for your ends! Keep on reading to find out why!

Packaging: I think that this is absolutely amazing packaging because it is small and great for travel. This bottle also forms with your hand so you can let the product out easily.

Durability: The bottle has been sturdy and works really well to keep the oil inside.

Pigmentation: The oil comes off as yellow but it doesn’t change your garments that you wear to have a yellow tint as long as you thoroughly put the product in.

Budget: This product is approximately $6-8 depending on where you go but I have yet to find another product that works this well and smells like something other than chemicals.

I have used this in and out of the shower and it tells you to use it after your shower. I found that the result wasn’t as successful in the shower. I also found that the product can leave a slight residue so be sure to have a sink or towel close by to wipe off the excess oil. I tend to use a dime size to go through my ends.

P.S. There are three different types, thin/fine, all hair types, and dry/coarse. I have not noticed a difference between any of them.

Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Intense Moisturizing Treatment

Hello ShopaHAULics, Tiffany here and I love what this company does to my hair, honestly, specifically the Moroccan Argain Oil line. I started to use this because I wanted to see how much silkier, smoother, and softer my hair could get since at this point I had already switched my shampoo and conditioner. I used this for the first time and saw instant results. Also, when I came back from college and didn’t have this in the shower for about two weeks since I had to grab it amongst my stuff, I could tell that my hair wasn’t as soft of smooth without using this or any of the products from Organix.

Packaging: Love it. i love that I can get my hand into the product without feeling like i am missing a bit of it somewhere.

Durability: I mix this product in with my Organix Moroccan Argain Oil Conditioner and leave it in my hair for about three-four minutes. I use this about two-three times a week.

Pigmentation: Yellow like the conditioner, lotion like, but so much smoother and really conditions the hair.

Budget: This costs around $5.99 and works extremely well so I would say that this is an affordable hair mask.

I Chopped My Hair Off! (Donation + Liberation)

Hello ShopaHAULics, Tiffany here, and I chopped my hair off…okay, only 8″ but it is a pretty big thing when I do so. My hair went from mid-lower back to shoulder length. I think that the last time I had cut this much off was when I was in my sophmore/junior year of high school. I am a junior in college now. Anyway, I decided I would cut my hair off for Pantene Beautiful Lengths because it is a good cause.

Why not choose Locks of Love? Well, Locks of Love for me was limiting to who they gave their wigs to, not that it isn’t important for children but the age limit is 21 and under. However, between the two, I know that Locks of Love is well known. I found out about Pantene through Ulta when my sister was looking up where she could donate her locks after cutting it off.

I know that Locks of Love requires a 10″ minimum and Pantene is 8″ minimum. I have no problrm with length requirements at all but that is just something for you to chew on if you are thinking of which place to give your hair to and what the length minimum is.

Personally, for me, I feel that it is important for all people to feel beautiful and to broaden who my hair goes to, I would rather it go to many than a controlled age group.

Now, you know how they say that when you cut your hair, you are a new person? I have to say that I don’t feel like a new person but it is different and I need different this summer since my last summer was less than stellar so here is to an amazing summer and a liberation of emotions past!

Thin Hair + Dandruff = Bummer [4 REVIEWS IN ONE!]

Yeah, I know, what a horrid combination.

I have had dandruff since I was about 10? I have used Selsun Blue, Head and Shoulders, and Herbal Essences since then. I use, now, Head and Shoulders and Herbal Essences. I do switch between both because for some reason, my hair will flip out and start showing flakes again if I use one for too long, like a month. I personally love Herbal Essences more and use that more often, well, as much as I can with it than the Head and Shoulders.

For Head and Shoulders I use, Head and Shoulders Intensive Treatment. I don’t like the smell of it, very chemical based, but it works to help maintain my dandruff. I only use a dime drop, but it spreads out to look like a quarter. I do like how it foams and it stays in my hair for thirty seconds to a minute depending on how fast I need to get out of the shower. My dandruff reduces to little when I use it for a few days, so about four days to a week. This works really well for me since I have really bad dandruff.

Herbal Essences I use No Flakin’ Way which has cucumber and lemongrass and smells AMAZING! I am using it currently and it is the best dandruff shampoo that I have used because it helps me prevent dandruff and smells good so I don’t have to tie up my hair when it smells like chemicals. I found this out after using Herbal Essences Hello Hydration because I thought I needed more oils and hydration in my scalp. Unfortunately, I know now that my hair just has too much oil and flakes because it needs to be washed. I love how this shampoo feels on the hair and it really does work.

Now, since I have thin hair, I use a conditioner from Pantene. It is discontinued now, I think, or moved to their FINE collection.

I don’t know exactly where it is at this moment, but this is their old packaging and I am pretty much out after six months-a year. I bought this with my first bottle of Head and Shoulders Intensive Treatment. I am on my second bottle of that after a long while too…Anyway, this is a really good volume conditioner, of course, I am sure that their new version is better if they changed it. I can’t use it from scalp to tip so I just use it on the bottom half of my hair and make sure to get it more on my right side because I flip my hair to the left. I love the smell of this and combined with Herbal Essences, it smells AMAZING as well.

Now, to make your hair look full and thick, you should probably part your hair to one side or the other and part it as far as you can without showing any bald spots or areas with really thin hair. I started parting it on my right side so that it falls to my left when I got into high school. I used to have a full head of hair, and now finishing up my last year, it worries me that I won’t have enough hair by the time I am 30! But, I am working with it in hopes that it will always look voluminous. I have shoulder length hair and naturally it is straight for the most part but sometimes wisps out. I just use a comb, not a padded brush, I found that padded brushes are only good if you are just putting your hair into a style, but not for everyday use. Your hair will thank you for not using it. I use a comb I got at Sally Hansen.

I use a comb I got at Sally Hansen.I use a comb I got at Sally Hansen. This comb is by Denman. It has three rows of teeth and it works really well. I have the silver one, but I wish I had the pink one, I didn’t even know they came in different colors lol. I personally love this much better and if you have thin hair like me, start from the bottom up! I do like to comb back my hair so that volume is already forming and use my heat tamer spray and then use a hair dryer. I use this to comb after I finish drying, I don’t part my hair until after I have dried my hair.

All About Heat Protection

Many don’t know about heat sprays. They are really good for keeping the healthiness in your hair and prevent drying and damage to hair. I didn’t know about it until recently from a youtube guru: foreveryours0727 [] she is a good guru. I learned about many products that are cheap and inexpensive to someone who is on a budget. There are heat sprays that are more expensive. Below is a few that are listed from Wal-mart. I am taking the list of prices from Wal-Mart and not somewhere else because not all states/countries, have Walgreens or CVS Pharmacy.

Pantene Pro-V Medium-Thick Hair Style Heat Protection & Shine Spray 8.5 FL Oz [$5.97]

John Frieda Heat Defeat Protective Styling Spray Frizz-Ease 6fl Oz, 2pk [$10.00]

Nexxus Heat Protexx Heat Protection Styling Spray, 8.5 fl. Oz [$11.33]

Pantene Pro-V Curly Hair Style Heat Protection & Shine Spry 8.5 FL Oz [$5.97]

Pantene Pro-V Fine Hair Style Heat Protection & Shine Spry 8.5 FL Oz [$5.97]

TRESemme Heat Tamer Spray, 2pk [$7.96]

I personally would not spend more than the Pantene price. I do like how Pantene has each spray for specific hair. I just use the TRESemme spray [Review here: it does the job, so I have no complaints about it. I know there are other sprays but this is all that was at Wal-Mart when I checked. I am planning on possibly buying a Pantene one, I have fine hair anyway, so maybe I can find out if there is a difference in them and do a vs. review on them.

Review: TRESemme Heat Tamer Spray

So until a month ago, I had never really heard about heat tamer sprays. I saw that many of the youtube gurus that I watch have used TRESemme. I bought some, I believe it was $3.84 where I bought it, Wal-Mart, and tested it out before blow drying my hair. The directions say to use it before you dry your hair with a hair dryer and before you curl/straighten your hair. I did so and when I blow dried it, I swear my hair was much more softer and smelled great. I love it. The product is not sticky at all and feels soft on hair. Really good product and good for budget consumers 😉 I love it!

Want a good straightener?:

Positive:  Smells great and works well.

Negative: Nothing.
