Shopping Monologue: Ulta <3

Hello Shopahaulics, Tiffany here, and I recently went into Ulta to return a hair straightener and to get new face products! The reason I returned my hair straightener was not that it was not good, I never even tried it, it was because there was a scratch on the plate. I know, something so minute and I returned it, but I don’t like when I buy something new that it is scratched already.

Anyway, I bought two clean and clear products and some of you may know that I am a huge fan of most of their products. I have to say that I have tried possibly more than half of their products. On this run to Ulta, I got the clean and clear morning burst detoxifying facial cleanser. I currently am using the shine control cleanser and wanted to try another in the line of morning burst. I also repurchased the clean and clear advantage oil absorbing cream cleanser since it is has done wonders to my skin, minus a little dryness.

My last item is a favorite of mine which is the eos lip balm in sweet mint and it is so good! If you get the chance to try an eos and don’t want a fruit flavor, go with the sweet mint.

Review: Clean and Clear Finishes Mattifying Cleanser

Hello Shopaholics, Tiffany here, and I thought that with such a great moisturizer would be a great cleanser, sadly no. I bought this thinking that it would help a lot but it didn’t do much and the concept didn’t make sense to me. I don’t see how this can help stop the oils from forming when you wash your face of the product off. The consistency is kind of a water base and it applies smoothly but if I don’t put on a moisturizer this doesn’t help at all to keep the shine from my face. I do not know how this would work for a person with dry or normal skin but it would probably not make much of a difference. As for helping me with my acne, I didn’t see any results.

Positive: Applies well.

Negative: Didn’t do its job.

Review: Clean & Clear finishes pore perfecting moisturizer

Hello Shopaholics, Tiffany here, and this is a kind of product that you don’t see much of a result until the end and it isn’t that great. I like it, don’t get me wrong, but it doesn’t do as much for me personally because of my oily skin like the mattifying moisturizer. I find that this moisturizer is more hydrating and it does minimize but that takes time. The finish on this moisturizer is a healthy glow but because of my oily skin it makes it oilier faster. The pore size in the end is not huge but it is pretty permanent at the moment, I finished the product about two months ago. So, this product is great for minimizing pores but you need to continue using it to get more defining results. Sorry if this post seems a bit sporadic in the way that it is written but that is the process of how it worked for me and the differences I saw as I went. Also, this is great for those of you with dry or normal skin.

Positive: Great for minimizing pores if  you are on a budget.

Negative: Not the best for oily skin.

Review: Clean and Clear Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub

Hello Shopaholics, Tiffany here, and this is one of the best daily exfoliating cleansers that I have found. I love trying clean and clear products and find them to either be better than I thought or not so much. I will say that this is great for those of you who have acne. I find that it is cool and the beads that are in the scrub take time to scrub away into the skin, of course, it takes time to scrub the beads away. I find that you don’t need a large amount and if you stick to the target areas (mine are where the acne is most prominent, my cheeks) then you will cool the skin down. This scrub works slowly but at a good pace to heal the skin. My favorite part is the cooling mint feeling on the skin when you have been scrubbing at your face for a minute or two. There are two parts that I don’t like about this scrub is that the bottle isn’t full and that may be because the bottle is in need of oxygen to keep the beads and scrub from not working. The second is that the scrub can be gel like rather than a smooth consistency but that is not a huge issue.

Positive: Works great

Negative: I don’t like that the bottle is not full of product, it is about 3/4 of the way full.

Review: Clean and Clear Finishes Mattifying Moisturizer

Hello Shopaholics, Tiffany here, and I am absolutely in love with this moisturizer! I have really oily skin and I wash my face, relatively, three times a day but have recently been washing it twice a day. Anyway, this is great for those of you who have oily skin! I saw this and thought that this was going to be a killer product. I love Clean and Clear. What you get in the bottle actually lasts a few months, say 3-4. It smells more like sunscreen than anything else but it isn’t overpowering, at least to me. I put two finger pad length amounts on my first and middle finger on my left hand and then with my right hand pat the two fingers together to equalize the amount on each. I rub the moisturizer on my face, I hear that is bad, so you can just pat it on thoroughly on your face. You can bring it to your neck but I didn’t do that often, just once a week.

You will have a matte face for the whole day, generally, depending on how much you put on your face. The amount I put on does the trick mostly unless it is a really sunny day where you will sweat.

Positive: Works amazingly!

Negative: Nothing.
