How Book Reviews are Going to Work! :]

Okay, so since I am broadening my variety to blog about other things, I am going to create a format so it is easier for you to understand. So…

The picture that will be placed in the blog is going to be the first book in the series.

I will link the author so that you can see the other books.

I will also tell you how many there are so far/going to be, if I know at the time.

Alright, so, now to talk about something else that people will ask about in the future. My opinions are my own, in case you were wondering!!! I am not paid for anything! Also, most of the books that I will blog about are romance/fantasy. I love those kind of books and if you don’t and have read a really good book, please send me a suggestion in my “Feedback” link at the top.  Or just click here—> []

By the way, if I didn’t list something and I put in something that confuses you, let me know in the link above.

Review: Burt’s Bees Peppermint and Pomegranate

(Left: Peppermint) (Right: Pomegranate)

Okay, so when my sister had chapsticks, I never used any and you know where that led? Chapped up, peeling skin lips, and you know what? I used to peel my lip’s skin, not caring if it bled. Which in winter you can imagine hurts a lot. I definitely learned my lesson when I was walking with my sister, shopping, she handed me Burt’s Bees, the peppermint scented one, if you can imagine, it hurt. The peppermint felt like it was burning my lips right off. I immediately took a disliking.

Of course, my sister wanted to help me and my lips so she said that I should try pomegranate. The pomegranate if definitely much better for severely chapped lips. Definitely buy pomegranate or honey if you have issues with chapped lips and you are to the point where you are peeling the skin right off. Pomegranate is tinted so when you use it there will be a bit more color on your lips. I like it and pomegranate is a scent you either love or hate, I had to get used to it and now I don’t mind it at all :] I am pretty sure that the chap stick is $2.94 where I go get it which is Wal-Mart. Prices may vary though.

Positive: All scents are really good. Burt’s Bees is also all natural.

Negative: Nothing, it works, and definitely helps yous lips.

Review: Art Deco

To me, these are the best nail art design polishes that I have used…they are the only ones I have ever used. The brush is no more than an inch or shorter. The brush is a good length and you can do a lot with it. The colors (not all colors are shown above) are amazing, the ones I have. I have listed them in this post: [] I just want to let you know that the solid colors come out more matte than shiny, so place a top coat on it. The glitter colors should be placed carefully because if you put too much it will look a bit odd and the nail polish comes off faster from my experience. These are also only $1.00.

I definitely like the colors but I really wish that there would be an easier to apply. I am not an expert nail person but I really like my nails to be matching and I have to redo my nails sometimes because I mess up. I plan on getting nail tools. The nail brush is good for details but it would be better to get something more easier until you can do designs steadily with these. Not to say that they aren’t good. I really enjoy making nail designs with them :]

Positive: Colors are good.

Negative: Hard to do with my left hand on right since I don’t use my left hand to write with, which makes it hard for me to do designs sometimes.

other everyday usage of items

and anything that I really want to talk about :]

Review: Clean & Clear Deep Cleaning Astringent

[Picture to the left: Oil-free and for normal skin][Picture to the right: sensitive skin]

So, when I started to get acne, this is what I used everyday. The sensitive skin astringent is what I used when I started out and it didn’t really do it for me. My sister used it because she has sensitive skin. I never really liked it so I bought the oil-free astringent which is stronger and, for me,  works better. The oil-free astringent is much stronger, so if you have just popped a pimple or have a healing scar it will sting. I would start off with the sensitive skin in case you can’t yet handle the oil-free astringent. Both work well, mostly it is just preference to which one you would rather have.

Apply the product with a cotton ball so that you don’t just pour it out. The product is liquid. Also, if you cannot afford it, you can buy the wal-mart brand which is just as good.

Positive: Works well.

Negative: Nothing that I can tell.

Review: Basic Cotton Rib Tank (3 Pack)

So I am sure every mother doesn’t want their daughters cleavage to show so that is why I bought these. I bought mine in medium which, I believe 34-36, or something. I got the tank tops in black, dark brown/gray/black (hard to tell on that one) and a pale color that is hard to explain. The tank tops are comfortable and made well considering it was three for $5.00 at Big Lots :] Really great deals over there btw! There are more than the colors I listed. I am not sure if all Big Lots has the tank tops but if you look around I am sure you will find some, if not they also have cami tops which you can also use for a layer. The cami’s only come in two for $5.00 I believe.

Positive: They are comfortable and easy to move in.

Negative: Nothing.

Review: Andis Multi Heat Ceramic Straightner

This is the first straightener that my sister bought and she went off with it so my mom and I decided to get it. I definitely love it. We didn’t want an expensive straightener that was like $40.00 or something. The straightener last time I checked was less than $20.00 (prices may vary) and very good for the price. The straightener is 1 and 1/2″ which is really good for everyday use. There are twenty heat settings which is really good. You can get it at Wal-Mart. The straightener takes longer than the fast straighteners to heat up. My first straightener and I really like it.

Don’t forget to protect your hair!:

Positive: Good straightener.

Negative: (to some) takes normal time to heat up. But still efficient enough so that you can get your hair straight and be out the door.

Review: N.Y.C. Skin Tight Denim Creme

I seriously love this color! A very dark blue without looking black and looks great in the light. I think this blue is for those girls who want something dark enough to where they don’t have to put on black (Some people don’t like black, I love black, but you know). This color is dark enough that you only need one coat. I would suggest to be very careful since this color is dark and if it gets on your skin it will take remover to take it off. Really cool color and the title of this nail polish reminds me of Katy Perry’s song Teenage Dream. Anyway, very nice with dark complexions and brings out your skin color more if you don’t mind that.

Positive: Dark and pretty :]

Negative: If you get any of the nail polish off the nail and onto skin it will take precision to take it fully off with a cotton swab/Q-tip.

Review: TRESemme Heat Tamer Spray

So until a month ago, I had never really heard about heat tamer sprays. I saw that many of the youtube gurus that I watch have used TRESemme. I bought some, I believe it was $3.84 where I bought it, Wal-Mart, and tested it out before blow drying my hair. The directions say to use it before you dry your hair with a hair dryer and before you curl/straighten your hair. I did so and when I blow dried it, I swear my hair was much more softer and smelled great. I love it. The product is not sticky at all and feels soft on hair. Really good product and good for budget consumers 😉 I love it!

Want a good straightener?:

Positive:  Smells great and works well.

Negative: Nothing.

Review: mark. Shine Tubes Hook Up Lip Gloss

I bought this at AVON when it was on sale for $1.99. This color was the one I bought. Pearl Pink. You can buy Shimmer tubes at the mark website [], I thought the packaging was cute and when you press the tube you get shimmery pink gloss. The gloss itself is cool to the lips and is smooth to the lips. Very good for lightweight application so your lips don’t feel packed on with color. The pink is somewhat sheer but gives your lips a bit of color which is really good.

Positive: This product is good.

Negative: They don’t sell it for cheap anymore lol at least not for now.
